League of Legends: Wild Rift is currently in the open beta testing phase, and the developers are actively working to optimize the game for all players. However, facing ping and lag issues is pretty common while playing an online game, and the same is the case with League of Legends: Wild Rift. For these issues in Wild Rift, we have listed a few troubleshooting methods below.
Choose the nearest server
League of Legends: Wild Rift gives you multiple options to select your server while logging into the game. Choosing a distant server will result in a high ping causing the game to lag. Thus, make sure that you choose the closest possible server to avoid any issue regarding it.
Avoid using VPN
Since Wild Rift is available only in a few regions, the players residing in other countries are using VPN in order to get access to the game. VPN can cause high latency and lag issues as it connects you with other locations far away from you. Thus, you should avoid using it and wait for the game to get released in your region.
Close background apps
While playing League of Legends: Wild Rift, try closing apps running in the background as they might be consuming RAM and data that can cause the game to lag and might also result in a high ping.
Check your internet connection
Since Wild Rift is an online game, having a good internet connection to get a flawless gaming experience is a must. So, make sure that you have a stable internet connection, or else turn it off and try reconnecting. If the problem continues, then contact your ISP regarding the ping issue.
Contact customer support
If none of the above-mentioned solutions works for you, then contact League of Legends: Wild Rift’s Customer Support. You will need to submit a ticket describing your issue, and they will get back to you as soon as possible with the solution to your problem.
