While lots of people out there are enjoying their time with Cyberpunk 2077, and the game has certainly been a sales success, many players are wondering about refunds. From a host of bugs in just about all versions of the game to a particularly poor performance level on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Rather than continue down the path of terrible PR, CD Projekt Red has decided to try and ease the refund process for people on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One who may be unhappy with the product. The company issues an apology for the way it handled last-gen consoles, and giving consumers the chance to be properly informed before purchasing the game.
While they have promised patches to improve performance, they have also said they understand if people would prefer to just request a refund. For digital copies, they request that you use the refund process on the relevant story through which you made your purchase. We will have these detailed for you below. For boxed versions, they request you try and get a refund from the store you purchased it from.
If these don’t work out, they suggest contact [email protected] and they will do what they can to assist you. While it is never explicitly said in the statement, we assume that both Sony and Microsoft have eased the refund requirements for the title a little. You will need to try and get this all done before December 21.
