How to get a swimsuit (wetsuit) in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

For those looking to jump straight into the ocean in the new summer update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will need to obtain a swimsuit. You wouldn’t want to get your traditional outfit to get ruined from being in the salty waters. You won’t have to do too much to go after it to obtain it. All you have to do is visit Timmy and Tommy in the Nook’s Cranny or to head to the city hall to purchase one from the Nook Miles terminal.

You need to visit the shop while it’s open and speak to Timmy or Tommy to view their inventory. They should have a wetsuit available to you for 3,000 bells. If you’re ever short, you can sell any of the bugs or artifacts you’ve already turned in to Blathers are the museum to get some quick money. However, if you have at least 800 Nook Miles, you can always visit the Nook Miles Terminal in the city hall, to the right of the entrance. Scroll down the list to find it, and it should have a fancy Nook Inc. theme to it.

Your swimsuit will be in your inventory, and you have to put in on your character to enter the ocean. Unfortunately, you cannot dive or swim into the river running through your island, but you can go pretty far away from the shore. You must be wearing your wetsuit to enter the water.
