How to get Ether Cane in Destiny 2 – Dawning 2020

It's fallen everywhere.

Ether Cane is one of many ingredients you will need to farm for Destiny 2’s Dawning 2020 event. You will be using it to make special treats for specific characters in the game over the course of the event.

To get Ether Cane, you will need to kill Fallen enemies anywhere in the game, via any means you like. In our experience, Ether Cane is actually an annoying rare drop, so you will want to find somewhere with a lot of Fallen enemies that you can churn through. Public Events like the Glimmer Harvest are a great option and will occur all over the game. Make sure to make them Heroic so you can fight waves of Fallen at the end.

The Widow’s Peak Lost Sector on the EDZ is a good idea as well, as you can clear it quickly, getting a couple of Ether Cane each time, then just run back until the screen says Trostland to reset it and go again.

You also have an ongoing fight between the Cabal and the Fallen that breaks out near the church in Trostland that you can farm, and this will just escalate the more enemies you kill. We have noticed that enemy type ingredients will often drop much less than the supposed “rarer types”, or at least the rarer types will be given preference by RNG, so make sure you are killing enemies with kinetic body shots to reduce the chances of some other ingredient falling if you are badly in need of Ether Cane.

If you need help finding other ingredients, we have a full guide that will help you out. We also have a guide for every Dawning 2020 recipe, which you should also find useful.
