How to get souvenirs from your buddy in Pokémon Go

You can earn Souvenirs from your buddy in Pokémon Go. You can view the Souvenirs on your buddy’s profile page and see what they’ve brought you over the time the two of you have been together.

To have your buddy start bringing you Souvenirs, you’ll need to raise their overall happiness. You have a variety of different ways to do this. You can:

  • Play with Them
  • Feed them Berries
  • Take their Snapshot
  • Battle with Them
  • Walk with Them
  • Visit a New Place with Them

You’ll increase their overall happiness by doing this. However, you’ll only have the chance to do this once a day because you are unable to continually stack up affection for the same activity on the same day. After it resets the next day, you’re good to go.

When you reach the Ultra Buddy status with your buddy Pokémon, you’ll start to see them bring you Souvenirs every so often. You can view them in your buddy’s profile page, which you can access by clicking on their icon on the lower left-hand corner on the bottom of the page. Open it up, and on the upper right-hand section, you’ll see your Pokémon’s name and how much affection they have toward you. This takes you to their buddy page.

They can earn:

  • Beach Glass
  • Cactus Fruit
  • Chalky Stone
  • Flower Fruits
  • Lone Earring
  • Marble
  • Mushroom
  • Pinecone
  • Pretty Leaf
  • Skipping Stone
  • Small Bouquet
  • Stretchy Spring
  • Torn Ticket
  • Tropical Flower
  • Tropical Shell

You’ll be able to see all of the Souvenirs they’ve gathered and the Buddy Traits they’ve gained from increasing their relationship with you. Finding these items boost you and your Pokémon’s affection.

We’ve also covered how to feed your buddy, how to play with them, and how to take a snapshot with them.
