How to get the Battle Hardened skin cosmetics in Back 4 Blood

Well fought.

Back 4 Blood cosmetics are highly sought after because of how few there are. Because of that, players looking to change up their looks will be on the hunt for every cosmetic in the game. The Battle Hardened line of cosmetics shows what each Cleaner looks like after a hard-fought victory in the ongoing war against the Ridden. Here is how you can get it.

To acquire the Battle Hardened skins in Back 4 Blood, you had to have bought the Ultimate Edition of the game or were an Xbox Game Pass subscriber in the early days of the game and redeemed the skins as one of the perks of being a part of that program. Unfortunately, there is no other way to acquire the skins.

If you are an owner of the Ultimate Edition and can’t equip the skins, look at the game’s files and ensure that Back 4 Blood Ultimate Edition Digital Content is currently installed on your console. If it is, it should automatically be ready for you to equip on all Cleaners who were available to play on launch day. No DLC characters have Battle Hardened skins as of this writing.
