If you’re looking for the Jewel Beetle, it only comes out from April to August in the northern hemisphere, and it comes out from October to February in the southern. Once you have the time of the month down, you don’t have to wait for a time of day. The Jewel Beetle frequently shows up at any time of the day, so you should have nearly no trouble in locating it and add it to your collection.

You can find it on trees on your island or on any of the islands you visit. Make sure to have your net ready, capture it, and then bring it to Blathers to add to your constantly growing collection.
