How to get the Night Fae Soulshapes in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Shape your soul however you like.

Did you align with the Night Fae in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands? Their special covenant ability, Soulshape, is nice for a quick speed boost, but you’re probably in it more for the different appearances you can earn. Let’s take a look at how you can earn the different Soulshapes available for Night Fae players.

Covenant campaign

Playing your way through the Night Fae storyline in Shadowlands will get you a couple of Soulshapes by default. Finishing Chapter 5 unlocks the Equine Soul, and the end of the final chapter rewards you with the Ardenmoth Soul.

Reputation grinding

Once you become Honored with the Wild Hunt, you can purchase the Crane Soul for the price of 1500 Anima.

Covenant upgrades

The biggest source of Soulshapes comes from upgrading your covenant. Once you have the Anima Conductor, you can go after the Moose Soul when you have defeated five rares from the Star Lake Amphitheatre. You’ll get the Shadowstalker for taking down Valfir the Unrelenting, who you can find in the southwestern area of Ardenweald; if you’re really lucky, Valfir will drop a mount as well.

When you increase your reputation to Friendly with the Court of Night, you’ll get the Leonine and Lupine for 1500 anima and 5 Grateful Offerings a piece. Upgrading your sanctum with the transportation network also begins your reputation with the Marasmius faction. At Friendly, you can get the Ursine and Tiger Souls for the same price, minus the Grateful Offerings.

Another two Soulshapes come from the Queen’s Conservatory, where different activities can get you the Gulper and Snapper. These are not guaranteed, as your rewards in this area are heavily randomized.

PvP

PvP victories may unlock the Gryphon and Wyvern soul. You might be able to get these out of completely random Battlegrounds matches.

Dungeons and raids

Defeating Mueh’zala in De Other Side will get you the Raptor, while Mistcaller in the Mists of Tirna drops the Shrieker. If you make it to the end of Castle Nathria and beat Denathrius, you’ll get the Veilwing.
