How to get the Platinum Starling Exotic Ship in Destiny 2

Looking sharp.

The Platinum Starling is an Exotic Ship in Destiny 2 that is locked away behind the Black Armory. To get your hands on it, you will need to forge 100 weapons in the Black Armory and earn the Master Smith Triumph.

You will need to complete 100 Legendary Weapon Frames to get this Triumph to complete.

How to forge Legendary Frames

To forge a Legendary Frame, you will need to purchase it from Ada in the Tower using Ballistic Logs. You can earn Ballistic Logs by completely Ada’s Weekly Bounties. She sells two Legendary Frames a week, and with the Black Armory leaving in November you will really need to try to put a lot of work in across three characters to get this ship before it is gone.

All Frames will have a mission associated with them that you need to complete. This normally includes a certain number of kills and then farming a certain resource. Read the Frame description carefully to find out what you need to do. You will normally need to run through some Forges as well, and these will once again be different for each Frame.

Once you run the correct Forge with the weapon, that should be it, the Frame will be fully forged at the end of the run and you will have a new weapon and be one step closer to getting the Platinum Starling.

You will need to decide for yourself if grinding this out is worth it. Remember, Exotic ships are cosmetic only, they do not grant any actual benefits. We will say this much, unless you already have a lot of work done towards this, and have been running Forges for a while, it is unlikely you will get this done before the content is Vaulted, as you simple won’t be able to complete enough Legendary Frames between now and November 10.
