Where to find Umbral Steel in Three Hopes

The best way to find Umbral Steel is by defeating the Demonic Beasts you encounter through the campaign of Three Hopes. These gigantic creatures require multiple characters of different classes to work together to stop them. They are not easy foes, and they typically have several health bars which make them even more challenging, beyond their large area of effect (AoE) attacks or their robust defenses.

The Demon Beasts can appear as a secondary mission objective or a surprise encounter, but many of them are associated with the limited-time side quests you see spawning in a campaign. An Extra Quest will be available for you to complete, but you have to start it within a certain number of turns, ensuring you secure a specific region before accessing it.

You want to keep track of how many turns you have left before a side quest disappears. If you miss out on these opportunities, the Demonic Beasts will escape, leaving you with no way to obtain Umbral Steel. You will want to check your map every time at the start of a chapter to see the locations of any side quests and how to effectively reach those locations before the timer runs out.
