Pokémon Go has plenty to do, and with players eager to complete new tasks, developer Niantic is ready to meet those high demands such as adding A Professor’s Work is Never Done Research task. Alongside the new research task, the latest Pokémon coming to the game is Woobat, a fluffy, blue creature with a heart-shaped nose. Acquiring this Pokémon is not a straightforward affair, though.
Woobat is a Flying and Psychic-type Pokémon that evolves into Swoobat, a much larger bat with the same iconic heart-shaped nose. Swoobat may not have the most impressive max CP, but it could be a useful addition for those looking to make an impact in the Great League.
If you’re looking to encounter Woobat, you need to meet them in Research Breakthrough encounters, which you means you need to receive all of the stamps for completing research tasks. From Feb. 1 to March 1, Woobat will be the Pokémon you encounter at the end of obtaining all of your stamps. It takes a full week to reach the end, so you should have four chances to capture Woobat during February.
Woobat becomes available starting on Feb. 1 at 1pm PST until March 1 at 1pm PST. Following the end of February, we don’t know if Woobat is going to enter the general pool available to encounter randomly, if it’s coming to an egg, or if it’ll become available in raids. We’ll update this guide following the end of February and clarify the specific details.
