How to join a crew in GTA Online

Joining a crew in GTA Online is one of the few activities that takes you entirely outside of the game. To start, you will need to leave your game session (or pause it if you’re very trusting) and go to the Rockstar Games Social Club.

At the top of the screen, you will see a tab labeled “Crews.” Click on it, and you will be asked to log in to your Rockstar Social Club account. You can either start one from scratch, or use your existing PSN, Xbox Live, Facebook, Google, or Twitter account.

Once you sign in, you will see two options on your right. You can choose “Create a Crew” or “Join a Crew.” If you’re planning to join an existing crew, choose the option on the right. By default, this will display all crews that are open and available to join. You can also search for specific crews in the bar near the top of the page.

If you decide to make your own crew, choose the box on the left for Create a Crew. You’ll need to come up with a name, a tag, a color, and select if your crew is public or invite-only. You can customize your rank title names for ten different levels, and choose one of four Crew Action gestures for in-game use. If you didn’t close your game before creating a crew, you will need to restart before the game reflects your new status.
