Etheric Coldsnap is a treat that you will need to make during the Dawning 2020 event in Destiny 2. You can bring this to Variks on Europa and give it to him, and he will give you a little present in return.
To make Etheric Coldsnap you will need Chitin Powder, Electric Flavor, and 15 Essence of Dawn. You can get Chitin Powder by killing Hive enemies. You can do this by any means, anywhere in the game. We would suggest heading for the moon and running the Altar of Sorrows to rapidly farm a lot of it.
To get Electric Flavor, you need to get kills using Arc energy. In our experience, Arc weapons just don’t really cut it for this, and you are better off using your Arc subclass. Farming the ingredient with Arc weapons just seems to take forever. If you run the Altar of Sorrows with an Arc subclass equipped, you will get lots of opportunities to throw grenades and use your Super, potentially farming up some other ingredients as well.
When you have both ingredients, combine them in the oven with 15 Essence of Dawning and then bring the Etheric Coldsnap to Variks at Charon’s Crossing on Europa.
