Here is how to make money in The Sims 4, both by cheating and legit manners.

Cheating

It’s not a Sims game without a cheat to give you a ton of money with no long wait or hard work put in. If playing on PC, press Control, Shift, and C at the same time to open the command console. For one thousand simoleons, type “kaching,” or for 50,000, type “motherlode.” If there is a specific amount of money you want, type “money (numerical amount).” For example, if you wish to have 327,489 simoleons, type “money 327489.” This can give and take away money, depending on the amount you type.

If you’re playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, all you need to do is hold down both trigger and bumper buttons at the same time. On PS4, that’s L1, L2, R1, and R2, while Xbox is LB, LT, RB, and RT. At this point, the same codes for PC work to give you the desired amount.

Marriage

One of the more indirect ways to make a lot of simoleons is marrying into money to get rich quick. When creating your sim, make them attractive and find another sim who has a successful career and a bunch of money. If you can make them like you enough, sooner or later you can marry, and their money becomes our money. If you want the money all to yourself, you can even set up a little “accident” to get them out of the picture.

Hobbies

When picking your Sim’s skills, you can choose which area your Sim is very talented in, and if you master that skill, you can make a killing on profiting off your work. For example, masters at painting can pump out multiple masterpieces worth thousands of simoleons every day. If you focus on progressing their skill from the start, you will see the payoff down the line. Other very profitable means of money through skills include writing novels, becoming a musician, and being a content creator.

Careers

Of course, if you want to play the long game, you can work your way up through a job to make some stable money. The Sim wakes up, goes to work for 6 to 8 hours, comes home, goes to bed, and starts all over again.

If you stick with the same profession, they will eventually receive promotions that will increase their pay dramatically over time. One of the most profitable careers in the game is the Interstellar Smuggler, which can bring in just under 4,000 simoleons a day. It takes a while to get there, but the wait is worth it.

You can also run your own business. Starting might be a little tough and might seem like you put more money into it than you get out, but if your business progresses enough, you will be sitting very comfortably down the line.
