One of the shiny new next-generation games announced at PlayStation’s The Future of Gaming event in June was the Gearbox-published Godfall, a looter-slasher in a medieval sci-fi setting. Although marketed as a Playstation 5 exclusive, the third-person action game will also be making its way to the Epic Games Store, on PC, at the same time. No matter which platform you are on, here’s how to pre-order a copy so you can become heavily-equipped before starting the game.

Release date and when to pre-order

The title will drop alongside the PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020. Don’t sweat, PC users, you can also get ahold of Godfall on the same date. As it’s a launch title for the next-gen system, all editions will become accessible on the same day.

When to pre-order

Pre-orders are currently being taken for PC via the Epic Games Store. Eventual PlayStation 5 owners will have to continue waiting a bit longer, with the game’s Twitter account stating the console version’s pre-orders are “coming soon.”

There are currently three editions of the game that both PS5 and PC players can choose from, Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Ascended Edition.

Standard Edition

Those who buy the base game post-launch won’t be receiving any goodies, but that doesn’t mean you can’t receive benefits from reserving it early. If you do so, you’ll be netting three Chrome Valorplate skins for Silvermane, Pheonix, and Greyhawk, the Yellow Typhon Valorplate skin, a Starter Pack full of gear (which includes the Amulet Trinket and Ring Trinket), and the sword of Borderlands’ Zero.

Deluxe Edition

Talk about a worthy Deluxe edition. On top of the four Valorplate skins, the starter pack, and Zero’s sword, those reserving the Deluxe Edition will be rewarded the first expansion DLC. Developer Counterplay Games hasn’t revealed what’s in this expansion yet, but it will be released in 2021.

Ascended Edition

If you’re truly impressed with Godfall, pre-ordering the Ascended Edition should be your main priority. Yes, you will get the three Chrome skins, Zero’s Sword, a starter pack, and 2021 expansion in this grand package. However, the Ascended Edition buyer will also be gifted the Golden Shield, the Gold Royal Banner and Zodiac Knight Lobby Title, a Gold Weapon Pack, the Orange Vertigo Valorplate skin, and three additional Gold Valorplate skins for Silvermane, Phoenix, and Greyhawk.
