How to respec your character in Cyberpunk 2077

Make a change.

Like just about every game in history that has RPG elements, in Cyberpunk 2077 you will be earning skill points and attribute points and using them to level up a character. Like just about all RPG players in history you will decide your build is a travesty and wonder if there is a way to change it.

This is the circle of life, and long may it continue. The good news is, yes, there is a way to respect your character. It is a good idea to know both its cost and its limitations before we get too involved with our mistakes, however.

First up, how to actually do it. You will need an item called a Tabula E-Rasa, which you can use to effectively respec your character. We say effectively because there are some limitations, including a glaring weakness in the system. You can get this at just about any Ripper Doc in the city, but it will set you back a whopping 100,000 Eddies, which is no joke.

The Tabula E-Rasa will reset your Perk Points only. It will not reset your attribute points. If you are not up to snuff on the way the game works, attribute points will dictate what kind of perks you can actually get access to. So, if you dump a load of points into your physical health, this will give you access to very specific perks within skill trees that are attached to that attribute.

As such, the Tabula E-Rasa will only allow you to move around Perk Points within those same confines. If there was a skill in another tree that you wanted access to, but it is assigned to a different attribute, then you are out of luck, chum.
