How to start Borderlands 3 DLC Guns, Love, and Tentacles

How do you start on this romantic and violent adventure?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

For those who have access to the Borderlands 3 season pass, or have prepurchased the Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC, you can now access it at any time. The new DLC adds sidequests, new weapons, enemies, and plenty of love as you attend Hammerlocke and Wainwright’s wedding.

To start the DLC, double-check your game updates with the latest information. The DLC officially launched on March 26 at 12:00pm EST. It should be available to everyone who has the game’s season pass on their account, or if you purchased the DLC separately.

With your game updated, you need to make sure you have a character who has reached chapter 5 in the game, and they have access to your ship, the Sanctuary III. From there, you need to locate the wedding invitation in Hammerlocke’s study, which is aboard your ship. It’s at the highest level, on the right side, above Marcus’ shop. It will be the small invitation on the nightstand with the exclamation point above it. Accept the quest, and you can now freely visit Xylourgos, and embark on a new adventure.

However, players are reporting that they do not have access to Xylourgos right now. The DLC may have become available for the start of it, but it looks like the planet is missing. We’ll update further when we can access the planet.

There’s plenty to do in the DLC when it does start to work properly, such as exploring new zones on Xylourgos, new story and side quests, alien beasts to right off, new legendary weapons, class mods, and new Vault Hunter skins for all characters.
