Monster Hunter: World – Where to Find Flame Sac

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

To get your hands on some Flame Sac, you’ll need to go up against one of the biggest and most fiery monsters in the early part of Monster Hunter: World.

We’ve recently been working on locating all the materials required to make the Horizon Zero Dawn Palico armor set in Monster Hunter: World and were in need of some Electro Sac. Then we thought, “Hey, what about all the other Sacs out there?” So now we’re going to have a look at where to find the Flame Sac, a more, erm, flammable version of your household variety Sac.

Where to Find Flame Sac

All your standard Sacs, including Electro, Poison, Aqua, and Flame, drop from specific monsters found quite early on in the game. For example, the Aqua Sac is obtained from Jyuratodus, the Electro Sac from Tobi-Kadachi, and the Poison Sac from Pukei-Pukei. This guide, however, focuses on the Flame Sac, which is obtained from one of the game’s earliest big monsters, the Anjanath.

The Anjanath is found in the Ancient Forest, most commonly on the western side of the region. It does, however, occasionally roam the entire area, causing havoc and chasing smaller monsters and wildlife around for sport. He’s a big of a grumpy fellow and will take some patience to defeat. Not one to give up, its weaknesses include Water and Ice attacks, and speed and quickness is your key to victory.

We suggest you find an Investigation in Astera in order to make your targeted attack in the Ancient Forest extra worthwhile. You should receive some Flame Sac as rewards for defeating Anjanath, and of course you can repeat this as many times as you need.
