You get more money for completing Dragon Challenges in Mortal Kombat 11.
It may be beneficial for players to complete Dragon Challenges in certain matches while playing through the different Tower modes in Mortal Kombat 11.
In Mortal Kombat 11, two different modes center on playing in towers. In these towers, you fight a series of CPUs, and at the end, you are rewarded with currency or something cosmetic for one of the playable characters.
Some of these matches in the towers have Dragon Challenges. These challenges give players some bonus Koins if they complete the task listed at the bottom of the screen. For example, one of the Dragon Challenges could be about doing two uppercuts. If you can get an uppercut on your opponent twice, the game will reward you with some Koins at the end of the match.
You have a very short time limit to complete a challenge, and if you beat a challenge or time runs out a new challenge will pop up at the bottom. You have to win the match to receive these Koins.
While Dragon Challenge seemed liked a good idea to get extra Koins, it never felt worth it because the amount of Koins the game gives you is stupidly small. You only get 100 Koins for every challenge you complete, and that is almost nothing compared to how much you need to open chests in Krypt Mode.
Not only that, but some of the challenges would always get in the way. Not only is the text in the bottom distracting, actually completing the task would prove difficult depending what kind of opponent you’re facing. With how little you get for completing a challenge, it wasn’t worth doing.
On April 29, NetherRealm studio released an update on the PS4 to make the game less grinding.
One of these changes was rewarding players more Koins for completing a Dragon Challenge. Now instead of only measly 100 Koins, you are now rewarded with a thousand Koins. That is a much better deal, and it makes completing Dragon Challenges more worth it.
