He’s back — and he’s killing all the Kombatants. Let’s take a look at how to play as the T-800 Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11.
He said he’d be back…but you probably didn’t expect him in Mortal Kombat 11, did you? Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger – his likeness, anyway – is front and center with the game’s latest addition to its Season Pass. He’s playable now in all versions of MK11, and he’s a monster.
Not only does the T-800 model have some great assault moves to its credit. But, if it takes enough damage, Arnold’s skin melts away, revealing the classic Endoskeleton from the Terminator films. And here’s where things get interesting.
Let’s break down the moves you can execute with this character, and how they can benefit you into getting one of the Terminator’s two different fatalities!
Mortal Kombat 11: How To Play as the T-800 Terminator
A Lot In His Arsenal
First up, the T-800 is framed like a huge dude. So if you want to bring him down on the defensive side of things, you’ll need to get in some key attacks with projectiles or kicks. Maybe watch yourself with fire, though, because that’ll burn away his skin and put him into Endoskeleton mode.
When he’s down to just pure metal, he can take less damage. Furthermore, attacks don’t knock him around as they would in human form. In other words, he becomes even more unstoppable than before – just like the ones from the films.
In general, the T-800 has a lot of great moves to his credit. Let’s break them down.
Shotgun: With this, he can blast opponents every which way but loose, using several timed attacks to juggle and chain together into a combo. It’s got somewhat limited range, but still highly effective.
Grenades: Yep, the T-800 can throw grenades to send an opponent flying if it goes off near them, setting them up for possibly even more combo attacks.
The Albi Back Breaker: Unleashing this, you mainly crack your opponent’s back and send them tumbling to the ground. So if you’re playing against the T-800, maybe stay out of its range unless you need a forceful readjustment.
The Teleport: Remember when the T-800 made its way into the present through a portal? Well, it can open up said portal at will, similar to what Scorpion’s character has done in the past. This allows Arnie to get the jump on his opponents from behind – possibly with the backbreaker mentioned above.
X-Ray: This begins with the T-800 giving a thumbs-up as he blasts his opponent in the face with his shotgun – at close range! From there, as they’re sent flying, he’ll grab them, saying Scorpion’s “Get over here!” and slamming them face-first into the ground. Finally, he’ll deliver one more punch and headbutt before they collapse on the ground.
Now, let’s get to the good stuff – the fatalities!
How Can You Finish Your Opponent?
In general, the T-800 has two fatalities to choose from.
The first is called “Target Terminated,” and it’s executed by pressing down, forward, down, and either the circle button on PS4, the B button on Xbox One, or the A button on Nintendo Switch. Range will have to be about mid.
Once you pull it off, Arnie will shoot the legs off of his opponent and send them into a Time Sphere, off to the future where Skynet rules. A fellow Endoskeleton will blast a hole in their chest to finish them off.
But my personal favorite? I’m Back. This is a fatality where Arnie will come riding in on his motorcycle (like in Terminator 2) and send them flying. As they’re in the air, he’ll dismount, pull out his shotgun, and blast them to pieces. Pull this one off by going Back, Forward, Back, and Square button on PS4, X button on Xbox One, or Y button on Nintendo Switch. You’ll want to be close on this one.
Both fatalities are featured in the video below!

These moves will take a bit of practice, but needless to say, fans should be thrilled by the, ahem, terminations that await!
