Pokémon Go Fest 2020 has nearly arrived for Pokémon Go players. The event kicks off on July 25 and on the 26 from 10 am and continues until 8 pm in your local timezone. The event will start earlier for some players based on their location in the world, so you might see some additional information on social media about what you can expect to see when the festival starts in your region. During the first day on July 25, there will be virtual habitats where players have increased spawns of specific Pokémon. Those habitats last for an hour, and you can expect to see them occur twice throughout the day.
The exact schedule your timezone sees for the virtual habitat may vary. For example, at 10 am ET, east coast players will see Pokémon for the Battle habitat appear. However, when it becomes 10 am PT, pacific coast players will see the Water habitat appear first. The starting habitat varies for every timezone. Here are all of the available habitats for the event and how they rotate.
- Battle – 10 am and 3 pm ET / 12 pm and 5 pm PT
- Friendship – 11 am and 4 pm ET / 1 pm and 6 pm PT
- Fire – 12 pm and 5 pm ET / 2 pm and 7 pm PT
- Water – 1 pm and 6 pm ET / 10 am and 3 pm PT
- Grass – 2 pm and 7 pm ET / 11 am and 4 pm PT
The first day is about capturing unique Pokémon every hour of the event, so you want to make sure to stockpile on Poké Balls. You can also use incense to increase the amount of Pokémon showing up at your location, rather than wandering around your area to catch them.
