Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour details for January 12, 2021 – Drifloon

For January 12, Drifloon will be in the spotlight. You can expect to see a massive influx of Drifloon spawning at your location over top of the original Pokémon that typically show up. Additionally, any Pokémon you capture during the Spotlight Hour event gives you twice as much XP for capturing Pokémon during the event. The type of action you need to do each week changes every Spotlight event.

Drifloon is a Ghost-type Pokémon. When you have enough candies, you can evolve yours into an Drifbloom. It’s an okay Pokémon to use in the Ultra League, and Drifloon doesn’t have anything special about it regarding the Great League or the specialty cups, so it’s primarily a PokéDex filler.

Drifloon does have a shiny version, so you might be able to capture it during the spotlight, but you only have an hour to capture one. Make sure to open up your Pokémon Go application at 6 PM in your timezone on Janaury 12 to take part in it.
