Increasing a Sync Pairs’ star power increases their overall level and stats in Pokemon Masters. Here’s what you need to do to increase the number of stars they have.

A Sync Pairs’ number of stars determines how powerful they are in Pokemon Masters. The more stars they have, the higher level cap they’re going to have for their Pokemon, allowing them to increase their overall stats. To do so, you’re going to need a particular item to increase your Sync Pairs’ total star number.

How to Increase Star Power in Pokemon Masters

What Do You Need?

To increase a Sync Pairs’ Star Power, you’re going to need Promotion tickets. You’re going to acquire these by Scouting identical Sync Pairs in the store menu. For now, that’s the best method of obtaining these rare trinkets. They are not available in the store page, as quest rewards, or through any of the missions you complete. However, they’re likely going to be event rewards when the game comes out with them. Because Pokemon Masters released a short time ago, these are not too prevalent. We’re going to see plenty in the future, though, with the first planned on Sept. 2 to the 29, called “Reach for the Top.”

When you do grab these Promotion Tickets, how many do you need? To increase a Sync Pairs’ star power, you’re going to need 20 of their respective ticket. Here are the ones you need for each level:

  • Three-star to four-star: 20 Bronze Tickets
  • Four-star to five-star: 20 Silver Tickets
  • Five-star to Maximum Potential: 20 Gold Tickets

While the Sync Pairs require 20 tickets, these don’t all have to happen at a single time. You can break them up, periodically giving your ideal Sync Pairs small amounts at a time, slowly working your way to 20 tickets, overall.

Hopefully, the developers for Pokemon Masters make it far easier to acquire these tickets, because it’s pretty tricky during the game’s launch.
