PS4 Display – HDMI Problems

- Turnoff the Deep Color option when your PlayStation 4 screen is flickering or displaying green bars.
- For doing this you can go to the system’s Dynamic Menu, then Settings > Sound and Screen > Video Output Settings.
- Select the Deep Color option and press X
- Select the Off option and press X
Repeated flashing of red light
This issue is the main cause of overheating of your PS4 console.
- Shut it down completely and and let it cool.
- Be sure to use your PS4 in a well ventilated room.
- If not, make your PS4 stand upright to keep it cool.
- If the problem persist, it might be an hardware issue.
Unexpected turnoff
Your PS4 console may unexpectedly shutdown without any warning in the middle of a game or while operating it. If you find yourself in such a situation do the following:
- Check the HDMI cable and port of your TV.
- Reset your system and unplug all the associated cords, wait for a couple of minutes re-plug and restart your system.

Audio and video issues

- No audio but video is visible
- No video but audio is heard
- No audio and no video
To solve these problems be sure that all the audio and video options for PlayStation 4 are correct. You can access these options through the Setting Menu form PS4’s home screen.
- Check if the headphones are able to play the audio, you can use them temporarily.
- Check the HDMI cable and port of your TV.
- Check for online PlayStation 4’s firmware and software updates.
