Raid hour in Pokémon Go – December 29, Legendary Pokémon and times

Time for a raid.

Raid hour has returned once again in Pokémon Go. That means all of the game’s gyms will be taken over by the featured five-star Pokémon for one hour, giving everyone in the game an easier chance to try and take it down. The Pokémon varies depending on the month, and if any particular events are going on, it’s important to know what legendary Pokémon to expect you’ll be facing against.

When is the Raid Hour?

The raid hour will occur from 6 PM to 7 PM in your local time. So it’s the same time for every region of the world, but they do not all happen simultaneously. When it’s happening on the east coast in the United States, it’ll be happening on the west coast in a few hours. Make sure you’re ready to go during that time slot.

What is the raid hour Pokémon? – December 29

For December 29, the raid Pokémon will be Kyurem. It’s an Ice and Dragon-type Pokémon, which makes it weak to other Dragon-type attacks and Fairy, Fighting, Rock, and Steel-types. But it is resistant to Electric, Grass, and Water-type moves, so try to avoid using these when battling it. We have some recommendations on how to take down Kyurem, and some of our recommended Pokémon include Metagross, Lucario, Dialga, Mega Charizard X or Y, Terrakion, Excadrill, Conkeldurr, Rhyperior, or Machamp.

Make sure to bring a few friendly trainers with you to take it down. Battling this Pokémon by yourself will be a challenge, but you should be able to take care of it no problem.

The raid hour only lasts the hour, so make sure to use as many of your raid passes as possible to get the most out of the event.
