Raising our Defences quest guide – Destiny 2

Season of the Worthy has arrived in Destiny 2, and a massive spaceship is hurtling towards the Last City. One of the first things you will need to do this season is the Raising our Defences quest. You can begin this quest by visiting Zavala in the Tower.

Step 1 – Visit Ana Bray

Zavala will send you to visit Ana Bray on Mars. Speak with her to begin the next step.

Step 2 – Light Collection

You will need to complete the following steps:

• Collect 20 Orbs of Light
• Generate 8 Orbs of Light

This is very simple and needs to be done in Hellas Basin, so the best place to do it is right outside where you speak with Ana Bray. There is a regular Public Event here, or you can start Escalation Protocol. Use a Masterworked weapon or your Super to generate light, and make sure other players are around who can generate Orbs for you to pick up.

Step 3 – Into the Mindlab

You need to speak to Rasputin, so go back to the main room Ana Bray is in, and head for the mission marker on the left-hand side. Interact with it to start the mission, then follow the marker to Rasputin. You will run into some Cabal, but you can simply ignore them as Rasputin has new robotic friends who will keep them at bay.

Talk to Rasputin to get your Seasonal Artifact, then it’s time to head to the EDZ, as Rasputin has something to show us.

Step 4 – Relic of a Golden Age

First, head for the Sludge on the EDZ, and when you arrive a cutscene will play. After that, head down into the Bunker and run all the way to the end. Interact with it, then you will need to head to Winding Cover to complete a public event. You don’t need to do so successfully, you can just play through the Seraph Public Event, then when it ends its time to move on to the next step.

Step 5 – Restore the Bunker

Now it’s time to take back the bunker, as some enemies snuck in there while you were busy. Head back to the Sludge, then make your way to the bunker and take out every enemy you find. Protect Zavala and Ana while they work with Rasputin, then interact with the Warmind via the small raised panel above Ana when the fight is over. This will bring you to the next part of the quest.

Step 6 – Purchase Bunker Upgrade

Return to the main Rasputin node in the bunker, and interact with it again. At the top of the options, you will see Bunker Upgrades. If you preview them, you will be able to see that the Valkyrie Spawner can be gotten for free, so select that option.
