Remnant: From The Ashes is packed with weapons and armor that you will need to upgrade if you want to get the most from them. That means you will need a lot of materials to get them all upgrade. In this guide, we will show you a very cheeky materials farming exploit that will help you out.

Remnant: From the Ashes – Materials Farming Exploit

To take advantage of this materials farming exploit, you will need to get to Rhom and make your way to the Monolith. You will find the Monolith by just making your way through the very first area of Rhom.

Once you arrive at the Monolith, you will notice a metal panel in the flagstones used to pave the area in front of it. That metal panel is the start of the puzzle you need to solve to get the Void Armor. Unfortunately, to keep access to the exploit, you will need to leave the puzzle unsolved. What you want to do is start the puzzle, then fail to solve it. You can start the puzzle by standing on the metal panel, then walking off onto the plates beside it. One of the plates will sink, showing you the start of the puzzle. I believe this panel will vary depending on your world seed.

As you walk around on the tiles, some enemies will spawn, and when you kill them, they can drop materials. By not solving the puzzle, and just keeping the enemies spawning by repeatedly trying and failing, you can then farm them for materials. If enemies stop spawning, go back to the start of the puzzle and start again.

Enemies can drop Lumenite Crystals and any type of Iron that you have already encountered in the game. They will not drop Iron types that you have yet to find in the game world. The enemies are also quite tough and deal a lot of damage, so bring your best weapons and some ammo boxes. As long as you don’t solve the puzzle, you will be able to keep the enemies spawning and will be able to farm here as much as you wish. You also get plenty of experience from this, so you will be able to earn a lot of Trait Points as well. Enemies will also drop plenty of Scraps, which you can use to upgrade weapons, and purchase materials and items back at Ward 13.

Well done to Triple Azians (video linked above) for spotting this materials farming exploit. If you would prefer to get the Void Armor instead of using the exploit, check out our guide for the solution to the puzzle.
