Rover’s Briefcase in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – how to get it, and what it is

It's nice.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

May Day has begun in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and one of the special items you can get is Rover’s Briefcase. There is a bit of work involved in getting your hands on it, however. Rover’s Briefcase is a decorative item that Rover seems to use on his travels. It is covered in stickers from all the places he has been and will look quite nice in your house as a decoration.

The first thing you need to do is to speak with Tom Nook at the Resident Services building. He will tell you about May Day, and let you know that he has left a special May Day Ticket at the airport for you. This ticket will get you a trip to a special May Day Tour that Tom has set up, and this where you will find Rover.

Head to the airport, and they will tell you that May Day Ticket is waiting for you, and ask you if you want to go on the tour. All the items in your inventory will be taken from you but will be returned when you get back.

When you arrive at the island, you will need to finish a fun maze that Tom Nook has set up, and we have a full guide to help you get through it. You can grab some resources you will need to finish the maze, and you can also get some Bell Tickets while you are there.

When you get through the maze and speak to Rover, he will give you his briefcase as a present. This is the only way to get the briefcase, and you will need to complete the maze at some point during the May Day event, which lasts from May 1 to May 7.
