Should you pick Casual or Classic mode in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes?

Want to play like old-school Fire Emblem, or want something more simple?

Before Fire Emblem Awakening, the Fire Emblem series had a feature known as permadeath. Permadeath means that when one of your characters falls during battle, you’ll lose that character permanently. It was a feature that made it too difficult for some gamers to get into, and Awakening introduce a Casual mode for players who do not want the Permadeath feature on. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has both a Casual and Classic mode for players to choose from.

Why you should pick Casual mode

Casual mode allows fallen units to rise again after the end of every battle. This mode is for Fire Emblem fans that do not want to worry about losing characters during every match. The mode makes it less stressful for players and gives them more leeway to make more little mistakes. Casual mode is a lot less challenging than Classic, but that makes it ideal for those who want a more easy-going experience when playing a game.

Casual mode is perfect for those that don’t have the time or resources to put into a hard game. It is also an ideal mode for those who don’t want to feel stressed when playing a game.

Why you should pick Classic mode

Classic mode is designed for the hardcore Fire Emblem gamers who want to experience the newer games as if they are still the old-school versions. Some fans prefer the old ways of Permadeath mode and want to continue experiencing that feature with the newer titles. It adds an extra layer of challenge for players, and it is especially grueling if players chose to continue onward after losing a unit rather than restarting from the last save point. If you are good at stress management, then this mode may be best for you.
