The Last of Us: Part II

Argentinean composer Gustavo Santolalla opened Sony’s E3 press conference with some tunes from The Last of Us: Part II. The church theme came full circle once Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part II trailer started, off the night inside a similarly lit barn.

The trailer focused on Ellie’s relationships before moving into some seriously gruesome gameplay. No release date was announced for The Last of Us: Part II.

God of War New Game+

God of War will get a New Game +, a feature that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s remastered maps from earlier Black Ops games were put on display. All of the maps will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, too, for anyone who preorders the next game on PlayStation 4. It was also announced that Black Ops III will be added to the PlayStation Plus service.

Destiny 2: Forsaken

A new expansion, Forsaken, is coming to Destiny 2 on Sept. 4. The teaser trailer showed a few exciting details for the expansion’s story.

Ghost of Tsushima

After a brief musical performance, Sucker Punch Productions debuted a gameplay trailer for its new game, Ghost of Tsushima. It’s one of our first in-depth looks at the game, which is set in 1274 as the Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima. A few surviving samurai warriors fight through the game to win freedom for Japan.

Control

Remedy and 505 Games debuted a new title, Control, for a 2019 release. It’s a new game that many likely weren’t expecting during the E3 press conference. The trailer features some trippy gameplay with Remedy’s signature stylings.

Resident Evil 2

Plenty of Resident Evil favorites are back in Resident Evil 2, confirmed for Jan. 25, 2019.

Trover Saves the Universe

Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland has a new game coming out, Trover Saves the Universe.

Kingdom Hearts 3

A Pirates of the Caribbean level has been confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3. Sony also confirmed a Kingdom Hearts-themed PlayStation 4. An “all-in-one” package was also announced.

Death Stranding

A new Death Stranding trailer was revealed during the Sony conference. Kojima Productions unveiled the first look at actual gameplay from Death Stranding, which featured a toenail being ripped off, among other weird things.

Nioh 2

Nioh 2 was confirmed during the Sony press conference with a short teaser trailer.

Spider-Man

All the Spider-Man villains are making an appearance in the new game. Whoops—a new of Spider-Man’s worst enemies are on the loose. Gameplay looks action-packed and chaotic as Spider-Man fights his way through a number of baddies.
