Dark Zones are PvP areas in The Division 2. They’re placed that have succumbed to complete lawlessness – this is where you’ll do most of your player killing, deception and betrayal. There are three of them in various parts of the map, and the first one you’ll get to visit is Dark Zone East, which is on the eastern edge of the map. During the beta, a lot of players wondered how to unlock Dark Zone in Division 2, which is what we’re going to show you in this guide.

How to access Dark Zone in The Division 2?

The Division 2 How to access Dark Zone

It was thought that the release of the Dark Zone in The Division 2 was linked to the level of the character, but this turned out to be false. During the Beta phase, access to the Dark Zone East was granted after completing the Jefferson Trade Center mission. It is thought that this is also valid in the final version of the game.

You should be around level 5 at that point, but it does not matter. Even if you have over-leveled by doing side-by-side stuff, or you have fallen behind the corner focusing only on the main missions, you will still get the keys to the PvP area as part of the progression of your story. Keep in mind that once you enter DZ, all bets are deactivated. Anyone could prove to be an enemy.

If you played the first game, the same rules apply. Pay attention to strangers, watch everything carefully while extracting contaminated tools and never trust anyone completely. It’s a tough world out there in the Dark Zone, and everyone’s trying to make a quick buck. This does not mean that you do not stumble on trustworthy characters beyond the threshold. You should not assume that no one is until they have shown it.

Good luck and be careful in the world of The Division 2.
