Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the upcoming sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines that originally released back in 2004. The original had a lasting impact due to a combination of its setting, writing, and cast of characters. The sequel will once again take the form of an RPG, with players striving to survive in a world dominated by the complex politics and social wrangling of the Vampire universe. In this guide, we will be collecting together as many answers as we can find for all those burning questions you have about the game.

When will Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 release?

An exact release date has yet to be revealed, but the window has been given as March 2020.

Does the game have a trailer yet?

Yes, Paradox has released an announcement trailer. People familiar with the first game will notice a somewhat darker tone compared to the original. The most important thing to understand about the lore this game is drawing from is that Vampires are a largely self-policing group who engage in what is called the Masquerade to hide their existence from normal people. Cities are ruled by Primogens, powerful Vampire leaders who police the rest of the populace. Based on the trailer, their grip is weakening a little bit at this point.

Where is the game set?

The game is set in America, taking place in Seattle. My understanding of Seattle is that it rains a lot, and the sun rarely shines on the cursed people that live there, so it seems like the perfect place for Vampires to hang out.

Is the game going to be exclusive to any one store?

Nope. Paradox has stated the game will be available on their own store, Steam, GOG, Epic, and console. So there does not seem to be any reason to fear that this one will end up being exclusive to any particular store.

Can I pre-order the game yet?

Yes, you can pre-order the game on any of the stores that will be selling it, should you want to.

Are there special editions?

Bloodlines 2 Special Editions

The game will come in three different editions, and will also include a Season Pass.

How long will the game be?

Developers Hardsuit Labs has estimated that a single playthrough will take anywhere up to 30 hours to complete. The game will be built off branching narratives, that are more than likely heavily impacted by the Clan you play, so replayability should be pretty high.

We will add more to this article as further information about the game is confirmed.
