Warframe – Aura Forma, What It Does And How To Get It

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Recent changes to Arbitrations in Warframe have introduced the Aura Forma as a reward, but what exactly does it do?

Warframe has introduced some changes to Arbitrations, and with those changes comes a new type of reward, the Aura Forma. The Aura Forma can be used on the Aura mod slot of your Warframe to allow you to use any Aura Mod. You will no longer need to set it to a specific polarity, and then only really be able to use Aura mods of that same polarity. Instead, you can just switch in any Aura mod that you wish to use.

How To Get The Aura Forma

You can get the Aura Forma by playing Arbitrations. At the end of each Rotation, it has about a 1.5% chance of dropping as a reward. It will also drop in the form of an Aura Forma blueprint, which you then need to build in the Foundry. To build the Aura Forma, you will need the following resources;

  • 100,000 Credits
  • 4 Forma
  • 1 Argon Crystal
  • 10 Nitain Extract

That is actually a pretty stiff resource cost, but with the very rare drop rate, it is something that you won’t be doing too often, and will more than likely only be building to put on your most used Warframes. Some Warframes also have a very specific function, and Aura mod, that they work with, so not every Warframe will even need an Aura Forma to get the most out of it.

How To Use An Aura Forma

Once you have built the Aura Forma in the Foundry, you can go into your Arsenal and select the Actions button in the bottom right of the screen. When you click the Polarize option, you will be able to select the Aura Forma from the different types of Forma that you own. Then, you just apply it to the Aura mod slot on the Warframe, and it will be universally polarized to work with any Aura mod. As per the usual Forma mechanic, using it on your Warframe will reset the Warframe’s rank, and you will then need to level it up again.

The real application I can see for this Aura Forma is for people who engage in Eidolon hunting regularly. Being able to easily switch from whatever Aura you normally use to something like Dead Eye for increase Sniper damage is going to be very nice indeed.
