The Stadia version of FIFA 21 did not launch in October, unlike the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch editions of the title. FIFA’s launch on Google Stadia was pushed back into 2021 late last year, and up until the beginning of February, it was still unknown as to when the title would hit the platform. But on February 2, we did get some clarity on the release date for Stadia.
In a press announcement on February 2, EA announced that it has extended its licensing agreement with UEFA. The agreement will see a continued relationship between the two sides, and the video game publisher and developer made some additional announcements in the same release.
Not only did the company state that FIFA Online 4 would be rolled out in new countries, but EA also confirmed that FIFA 21 will go live on Stadia this year. This will mark the first time that the FIFA franchise has launched the game on the platform.
The release date for FIFA 21 on Stadia will be March 17.
