Arc System Works’ latest installment in the Guilty Gear franchise, Guilty Gear Strive, was announced early last year. The closed beta in April was widely acclaimed by critics and the fanbase. After some uncertainty regarding the release date, Arc System Works has finally revealed the release date for the game.
Guilty Gear Strive will be releasing on April 9, 2021. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Additionally, players who buy the Deluxe and Ultimate edition will be getting three days of early access starting on April 6, 2021.
Guilty Gear Strive was earlier slated to release later in 2020; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was delayed to 2021. With a number of games already delayed due to the ongoing pandemic, fans of the fighting genre will be quite disappointed by this news.
The developers received a lot of feedback from the closed beta testing, and they assured the fanbase that they will be using the extra time to improve the game according to the community’s reception. The game will also be bringing a new character, Giovanni, alongside some returning characters like Anji.
