As you can see, the teaser posted unfortunately doesn’t give away much in the way of clues for themes. With the transmission intercepted alert on the teaser’s poster, it would imply that we could be seeing a new level of espionage being brought to the island. The grid landscape at the bottom of the teaser could also imply that we are about to see a change in the terrain of the island, as is customary with almost all new seasons that launch.

Importantly, the teaser confirmed that the new season will begin this week, starting this Thursday. With the new season coming so soon, it won’t be long until we get access to a whole new stream of content for the game, including cool new skins, sprays, emotes and possibly new weapons or returns for old favorites.

However, there’s no indication on the post as to exactly when the new season will begin. So, when exactly does Fortnite Chapter 2’s second season begin?

Epic usually has a schedule set for Fortnite updates and changes in seasons of content. Typically, the new seasons go live in the early hours of the morning on a set day. This means that all of the hard work is completed and live for players once they wake up. It also works out fairly early in the European time zones, too, though not until the start of the working day. Typically, new seasons start at about 1am PST. This is usually during routine maintenance, so the downtime that happens comes with the usual downtime.

This means that if the new season starts as it has previously at 1am PST, those on Eastern Time will be able to play the new season from 4am, while those closer to Europe will be as early as 9am U.K. time.

The new season is just around the corner. Prepare to build your way to the top of the new battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 2.
