With just a few days to go until Fortnite Season 7 kicks off, Epic Games has revealed the theme for the upcoming season. It turns out the rumors about a snow map are correct, as the caption accompanying the first of three teasers reads “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.” The image depicts a man wearing an ice crown, and with the recent leaks about the castle atop the incoming iceberg, perhaps this chilling figure is the literal king of the castle? An interesting concept indeed. But with all that put to one side, when does Fortnite Season 7 start?

When does Fortnite Season 7 start?

The Fortnite Season 7 start date is on Thursday, December 6. The exact time is unconfirmed, but Epic usually roll out updates between 4 am and 8 am Eastern. This means that if you still have challenges to complete in Fortnite Season 6, make sure you get them done in the next couple of days.

When does Fortnite Season 7 end and when does Fortnite Season 8 begin?

Each season of Fortnite typically lasts for ten weeks. Epic has made no inclination that Fortnite Season 7 will be any different, so we’re expecting Fortnite Season 7 to end on February 14, 2019. That would give us ten straight weeks of the Fortnite winter map, heading into Spring when the snow will undoubtedly melt, and something else interesting will occur.

What’s in the Fortnite Season 7 battle pass?

As for the Fortnite Season 7 battle pass, nobody knows exactly what it will contain, but we’re expecting a plethora of wintery skins. The character depicted in the first Season 7 teaser pictured above will likely be one of the skins, and there’s undoubtedly going to be a female counterpart unlocked at either tier 1 or tier 100 if previous seasons are anything to go by. There’s not much else to do except wait and see when Fortnite Season 7 starts on December 6.
