The classic games of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 are receiving a remastered version for modern consoles, and it’s a bit of a remake, too. Vicarious Visions, the studio who did the work on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is returning to do the work on making the newest Pro Skater game, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, for current consoles on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through the Epic Games Store.
The game was announced during the Summer Game Fest’s first live stream, hosted by Geoff Knightley, alongside Tony Hawk who was celebrating his 52nd birthday. Hawk spoke about how many people had approached him in the past about doing remakes for these classic titles. Now, we can expect to see them returning to modern consoles near the end of summer.
You can get your hands on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 on Sept 4. The exact time of the game’s release is not specified, but it is a Friday release, so players can likely expect a midnight transition of the title.
You have the chance to pre-order the game before it releases by grabbing it a standard, deluxe, or collector’s edition of Pro Skater 1+2. All versions of the game come with the base title, but the digital deluxe and collector’s edition comes with game content and in-game items. All versions fo the game gives players access to a playable demo featuring the classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater level of the warehouse, which will be available before the game’s initial release.
The game will available at the same time across all platforms. For PC players, it will be available first on the Epic Games Store when it initially releases.
