Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled with a lot more thieving than redeeming. Over the course of the game, you will be robbing all kinds of jewelry, gold, watches, trinkets, and other valuables. The problem? You can’t sell them at the general store! Goods that you get via illicit means might be worth lots of money, but in the early game, the only real way to see the value of it is to donate to the camp. Maybe you want to turn it into cash in your pocket, and for that, you need a fence.
Where To Find Fences
Fence are criminals who specialize in finding buyers for stolen goods. They know a guy who always knows another guy, and they always manage to move on items that are a little bit hot, and maybe a whole lot bloody. The fences in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be found at the following locations.
- Emerald Ranch – You unlock this fence by finishing the Pouring Forth Oil mission.
- Van Horn Trading Post – When you get to New Hanover you can find a fence at the trading post.
- Lemoyne – northeast of Rhodes you will find a fence in the mountainy region to the south of Mattock Pond.
- Saint Denis – the last fence can be found in the urban sprawl of Saint Denis.
On top of buying your stolen goods, fences can also sell useful items. Crafting recipes, explosives, and masks can all be purchased from fences, and all are useful for a life of crime. It should be noted, some fences deal in different items, and not all of them will be able to sell on every item you have. You may also need certain pieces of jewelry for crafting, so be sure you don’t need something before selling it on.
