Where to find Rad Ants in Fallout 76

There's always an annoying Ant Hill nearby.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

For anyone attempting to craft the useful item, Rad Ant Lager, in Fallout 76 for your use or the quest Wasted on Alcohol, the core ingredient is Rad Ant Meat. You can harvest this meat from giant ants found all over the game, and you can find them in numerous locations. These locations vary in difficulty, and it never hurts to farm these ants if you can regularly restart the server and set up a C.A.M.P nearby.

There’s no distinct name Ant you’re looking for, either. There are many different types of named Ants in the game, such as the Deadly growing Ant, Deadly soldier ant, Venomous glowing Ant, the Scorched Ant, or the Overgrown forager ant. It doesn’t matter what type of Ant you go after because they all offer a decent chunk of ant meat, which is what you need to make the Rad Ant Lager.

Here are the distinct locations you can find them:

  • Appalachian Antiques
  • Camp Adams
  • Dolly Sods wilderness
  • Fort Defiance
  • Hopewell cave
  • Lucky Hole mine
  • Monongah Power substation MZ-03
  • The Giant Teapot
  • Thunder Mountain substation TM-02
  • Watoga High School

Your best course of action to reliably farm these monstrous ants is to visit the southeast portion of the map. You can regularly run through the Appalachian Antiques, Fort Defiance, Lucky Hole Mine, Thunder Mountain substation, and Watoga High School. You can find these locations to the southeast, and if you set up a C.A.M.P closer to the south, you can rotate through all of them and return to your C.A.M.P.

Ant meat is likely the hardest ingredient to find for this recipe. Once you have all of your ingredients, return to your camp to make the beverage, and you will have completed the daily quest, and you can also keep some for yourself should you have any need for the drink.
