Where to find the Dead Island easter egg in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Who do you voodoo? Sounds familiar.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s developer Techland also created Dead Island. The game was similar in scope to the Dying Light franchise but launched with many bugs and wasn’t very well received by the press or players. The franchise has been in development hell since the announcement of Dead Island 2, but you can still find a piece of it in Techland’s latest game. This guide explains where to find the Dead Island easter egg in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

The Dead Island easter egg is in the first building you enter in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. When you’re up on the first floor of the large house with Spike, you’ll walk around the remains of a party. Look on the low wall in the front portion of the building, and you’ll see a record player. Interact with it to hear Aiden say, “Who do You Voodoo, huh? Sounds familiar.” This is a reference to the song Who Do You Voodoo that plays at the party in the club that forms the opening cutscene for Dead Island.

The remains of the party and how it seems to have taken place during an infection outbreak is also a reference to Dead Island. The game’s unskippable club opening is a portion that all fans remember because of how much it hinders the game’s pace. If you’ve played it, the song will likely come back to you within seconds.
