The new Fortnite Season 3 map features a heavily flooded region where you may spend as much time running through it as you do swimming. The new season also means weekly challenges, and for the first week, you need to land at Misty Meadows and finish as one of the top 25 survivors of your match.
You will find Misty Meadows at the bottom portion of your map, to the south of Lazy Lake. It’s a vast region with plenty of open locations for you to land at. Unless you have a full squad with you when you arrive, you primarily want to land near the outskirts of the area. There are several smaller lodges available for you to loot and grab whatever supplies you need to defend yourself and build modest protections. You want to scavenge these locations quickly before moving on and abandoning the area.
After landing at Misty Meadows, your single job for this challenge is to survive. How you go about that is up to you. For those who prefer to stay mobile, you can keep to the smaller landmarks and areas of the map, hiding it out at the various hole-in-the-wall paths and wait it out. Those who are more aggressive can charge straight into the middle of Misty Meadows and take out anyone foolish enough to face you and your friends. You can even choose to take a helicopter to fly around the map. How you survive is your choice, and whatever sounds like the most fun.
You do not need to remain in the Misty Meadows area after you land there to complete the challenge. You only need to land there at the start of the game, and then survive. You won’t receive a notification about finishing this challenge until you are eliminated or win your match. The best indication that you have completed the challenge is the Survivor II pop-up that shows up at the top of your screen during a game when you are among the last 25 survivors.
