Will Kyogre be shiny during five-star raids in Pokémon Go? – January 19, 2021

What are your chances?

Many of the Pokémon in Pokémon Go have a shiny variation. It’s a different coloring from the original appearance, making them standout when compared to others of their species. Many of the Pokémon have a chance of having a shiny appearance when you encounter them, but some of them only appear at certain times.

For example, legendary Pokémon, such as Kyogre, may only have their shiny appearance show up during an event, and in other five-star raids, they may not have it at all. Kyogre is making its next appearance during the Hoenn Celebration event from January 19 to the 24. Because you’ll have a limited time to access it, is there a chance you can capture its shiny version?

It has been confirmed that Kyogre will have its shiny appearance available during the Hoenn Celebration event. You and your friends will have to find it available at a five-star raid to see if it’ll be shiny. Unfortunately, you won’t know if you beat it at the raid and encounter it after you win. To ensure you have the best chances of success to take down Kyogre, we recommend you team up with as many trainers to work together and bring it down. Having more trainers attend a raid does not decrease your chances of earning a shiny version.

After you’ve captured the shiny version, make sure that it has the best moveset available to succeed in raids and the Master League. Kyogre is one of the better Pokémon to use in PvP, so having a shiny version with the best attacks will be a great way to battle any opponent.
