A new ambitious Avengers game is in development by Square Enix, and as the days go on with few leaks and a streamlined way of releasing the news about the game, developers have definitely kept the hype for the game alive.

Crystal Dynamics Avengers Story

In a recent post on the Marvel Blog, it was revealed by the company that it is hiring gaming industry veterans who will work at Crystal Dynamics, which will be the brains behind shaping the game. And the same news was released by the end of January.

“This time, the heroes are assembling again behind-the-scenes with award-winning developer Crystal Dynamics adding 15 top industry talent to The Avengers project in January alone,” the company wrote. “The talent includes Shaun Escayg, former Naughty Dog creative director, and Stephen Barry, a 27-year games vet from EA and Visceral Games.”

After their news of their own Avengers assembly, they shared more details about the game, which gave the players an idea of what they can expect from the game.

“The Avengers project, featuring a completely new and original story, will introduce a universe, which a gamer can play in for years to come,” Marvel said. “The project will be jammed pack with characters, environments, and iconic moments that will thrill Marvelites.”

From this, we can conclude that the game will have its own new arc, which will be different than that of the movies, however, will be based upon the plot developed by the comics, according to Bill Rosemann, Creative Director, Marvel Games.

And their idea of, “play for years to come” might also refer that Crystal Dynamics is also working on a multiplayer version of the game.
