We have good and bad news for those of you waiting for Burnout Paradise Remastered, which was just announced yesterday for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, to release starting this March.

Let’s kick off with the bad news. In a note issued to Polygon, Electronic Arts confirmed that “as for Switch, we have nothing to announce there.” Which is quite curious, since – considering that Burnout Paradise is an old gen production – it would have served as a good opportunity in terms of technological compatibility to approach again the Nintendo hybrid system.

Burnout Paradise Remastered Nintendo Switch Version Not Planned

The good news is that EA and Criterion Games are not considering plans for adding microtransactions into the game on launch nor at a later stage, as it was in the original open-world racing title.

Community manager Ben Walke offered a clarification on Twitter about this matter after a wrong store listing claimed the game was going to feature optional in-game purchases.

“Just a heads up, but the store listing for Burnout Paradise that mentions ‘In-game purchases optional’ is an error,” said Walke. “There is no MTX or any additional paid for content. Pitch forks down please.”

The remaster is coming March 16 on PS4 and Xbox One, and later on PC, complete with DLC Cops and Robbers, Legendary Cars, Burnout Bikes, Burnout Paradise Toys, Burnout Paradise Party, Boost Specials, Cagney and Big Surf Island.
