It looks like The Witcher Netflix TV show has reached yet another milestone in its development process. According to the showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, a draft of the script for the pilot has already been completed and only awaits to be shot.

“The Witcher pilot is out for notes, and I’m out for the weekend to spend some time with my kids,” Hissirch wrote in the weekend, hinting at that a new stage in the production of the series has been reached. “See you bright and early on Monday!”.

The Witcher Netflix Series Script Udpate

It’s quite a remarkable milestone if you consider she was only hired last December as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner, and basically the one who’s crafting The Witcher as the Western, non-gaming audience will learn to know and hopefully love it.

It’s also worth mentioning that the TV show is being based on the eight-part novel series written by Andrzej Sapkowski, and not on the games by CD Projekt RED – which has already pointed out it has no involvement in the production of the much anticipated Netflix show.

Platige Films is going to shoot the show. It’s a Polish company that has already worked on a launch trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (“The Trail”) and, talking again about video games, at the cinematics for Halo 5: Guardians.
