Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is not in development at Raven Software and it won’t feature multiplayer, according to the details revealed by a credible insider source at Raven Software.
Amazon Italy recently listed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and April 30 was mention as a release date. This Remastered was expected to be incoming considering the fact that the last year’s Modern Warfare Remastered was a massive success on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The only feature that was slammed by was the price tag of $40, but it seems like Activision has got this thing covered as well for Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. Amazon Italy has listed Modern Warfare 2 Remastered for €20 which comes to $25 (USD).
Our friend at CharlieIntel got in touch with their insider source at Raven Software to get some more details on this rumored Modern Warfare 2 Remastered and the first thing they came to know is that the listing of Amazon Italy is legit and Raven Software is not involved in the development work of Modern Warfare Remastered 2.

Secondly, the insider source at Raven Software stated that the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will not feature multiplayer. This could be the biggest reason behind the low price tag of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. A win-win situation for both in my opinion – Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII is scheduled to launch later this year and including multiplayer in the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered would have resulted in the splitting of the player base in two Call of Duty games.
The official announcement is still awaited from Activision. We expect them to make it at E3 2018 or few weeks ahead of E3 2018. So stay tuned to Gamepur.
