A fan told the LawBreakers and Radical Heights creator to build, considering that he has a great relationship with Phil Spencer, some kind of third-person action adventure as an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive game.
Surprisingly, Bleszinski said as a response that he has already pitched the same idea to Microsoft, hinting at the fact that the proposal was refused for some reasons. In the following tweet, he also précised that was something completely new, an IP built from scratch, and not a follow up to the Gears of War saga.
The only thing that remains to be seen at this point is whether he offered this idea before LawBreakers’ development kicked off, which would explain why the multiplayer title was launched only on PC and PlayStation 4.
Maybe the game was going to be too “classic”, without a persistent/multiplayer component attached to it, and Microsoft didn’t want to fund it. If you look at the games coming this year, starting from Sea of Thieves, that would make sense.
If only I already pitched that…
