Cory Barlog recently delivered one of the highly rated PlayStation exclusive game of the current-generation, God of War. So it would be interesting to hear from him what are his favorite PS4 games? Guess what, in a recent interview with PS Blog, Barlog shared his list of favorite PS4 games.
Cory Barlog is the new video games’ industry rockstar and as such he has many interviews every day. Among the most interesting ones, we have one where he basically suggests you the games you should play if you own a PlayStation 4.
The list is a bit predictable if you consider that the games mentioned below are from this generation of consoles and this generation only, but it’s nice to learn more about the tastes of the maker of one of the most appreciated titles around.
“When I was asked to think of the top games that I enjoyed or held some kind of meaning to me I thought to myself, “Well that will be easy.” It was not. My first draft list of games was huge,” he told the US PlayStation Blog.
“I realised I needed to get much more specific with the list in order to keep it in scope, so I chose eight games whose directors and teams brought me insight and joy – and one space dogfight trading sim that I became weirdly obsessed with.”
So here’s the list of Cory Barlog favorite PS4 games:
- Assassin’s Creed Origins
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Celeste
- Kingdom Come Deliverance
- The Evil Within
- Elite Dangerous
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- The Last of Us Remastered
Considering how much influential The Last of Us was to the entire project, and in particular to the relationship between Kratos and Atreus, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see the remastered version for PlayStation 4 in this slate of games.
Do you agree with the list? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let us know whether you’d add the latest God of War franchise entry in your list…
