Here’s a short summary of all Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Information that was revealed at Reveal Event on May 17 – Map Size of Blackout Mode, Returning of Specialists, PC version, and many more things.
On May 17, Treyarch and Activision announced a ton of interesting things about Call of Duty: Black Ops – right from the first look at the multiplayer to the Zombies Mode to the Battle Royale mode, and many other things. The live stream was around 1 hour long, so there is a possibility that you might have missed a lot of details from it, but don’t worry we got you cover on it.
We have listed below all the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 details revealed by Treyarch and Activision at May 17 reveal event. In short – everything you need to know about Black Ops 4’s Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Battle Royale mode.
Black Ops 4 PC Version
- The PC port is by Beenox studios
- It is a BattleNet exclusive on PC
- PC port is going to have extensive PC support & will be extensively tested for the PC system
- 4K support on PC, no word on the resolution of Xbox One X & PS4Pro yet.
- PC version will feature dedicated servers

Singleplayer Campaign
- There is no traditional campaign mode
- Stories will be “weaved into the other modes”
Multiplayer
- Set between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3
- The Specialist system from Black Ops 3 is returning (screenshot below). Confirmed to return are Seraph, Ruin (with the new grapple gun), Nomad, Battery & Firebreak (who can now shut down areas of the map). New Specialists include something like “Recon” who can use Vision Pulse, “Crash” who can heal your team, “Torque” who can lay down defensive barricades & Ajax.
- It is confirmed to be 100% boots on the ground
- Sliding is returning
- You’ll need to manually heal up instead of having automatic regenerating health
- “Fog of war” minimap – which will reveal enemies when they are closer to you
- League Play is returning
- There will be short single player missions to introduce Black Ops 4’s Specialists & their backstories (watch the trailer below)
- Multiplayer is 5v5

Battle Royale
- The Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4 is called Blackout Mode. Watch the trailer below.
- It is going to be “different” from other Battle Royale games.
- It will be the largest map ever made – nearly 1500 times the size of Nuketown
- It will have vehicle support
- It will have recognizable characters, weapons & steaks from across the Black Ops series – including the Zombies crew & classic Campaign characters such as Mason, Rezov, Woods & Hudson
- Blackout Mode Map size
Zombies
- It will not follow the classic story and is something new.
- New playable characters: Scarlet, Diego, Bruno, Shaun
- It will be based on historical events & the enemy will be a historical order.
- There will be 3 maps on day 1:
- The first map is set in what appears to be Ancient Roman times and is called “IX” (Watch the trailer below) IX looks to be very melee-focused.
- A second map is called “Voyage Of Despair”, and appears to be set aboard the Titanic (Watch the trailer below)
- “Mob Of The Dead” will return from Black Ops 2 as “Blood Of The Dead” as the third & final map. It stars Black Ops 3’s Primis and appears to be set in between BO3’s Zetsubou No Shima & Gorod Krovi, when Primis go to Alcatraz to retrieve the blood vials
- “Custom Mutations” allow you to change the way the game plays – stuff like Zombies speeds
- “Black Ops Authenticity System” will allow users to share their best games
- “Callings” are limited time events in Zombies
- Black Ops 4 Zombies features difficulty levels & a tutorial mode, as well as new mods such as “Zombie Rush”
